The Workday Software Developer will analyze, design, develop, deploy and support client facing web applications and services such as Internet/web pages, applications such as e-commerce and content-driven websites. Understanding of basic web (HTML/CSS/CSS Preprocessors). Familiarity with advanced web (JavaScript – Node, React, Angular, build tools). Familiarity with Docker & Kubernetes and Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP). Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents and implements applications using a variety of languages and platforms such as C#, VB .NET, Java, C, C++, C, Python, PHP, JavaScript, SQL, Scala, Objective-C and Swift. Develops proof-of-concepts, prototypes of easy-to-navigate user interfaces (UI) that consist of graphics, and consumer and enterprise applications, icons and color schemes that are visually appealing. Ensures that applications are compatible across multiple computing platforms and browsers. May also involve responsive web design techniques. As a Workday Software Developer, Senior, you will: Knowledge of Workday implementation tools (Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Studio, Workday Report Writer, and iLoad) Experience with Web Services and APIs (WSDL, SOAP, REST and WS standards) Strong technical experience with XML and Java Manage system integrations within the architecture of the HR/Finance system and middleware Provide support for Workday inbound and outbound integration issues, changes to existing integrations as well as new integrations Design and develop interfaces and conduct unit and integration tests Build applications for our clients, using an agile engineering mindset, ability to solve complex problems, strong engineering skills, and willingness to lead through the ambiguity of rapid change. Design, build, test, implement, and maintain complex or large-scale web applications that are reliable and accessible and support the organization’s Application & API Strategy under supervision of senior team members. May take large responsibility development for projects and liaise with external consultants or vendors to integrate new web products with existing web applications to improve the functionality or design of the organization’s website. Ensure accuracy and integrity of data and applications through analysis, coding, clear documentation and problem resolution Consult with business and technical teams about interface design and maintenance; collaborate with other architects and technical leads on design decisions Perform routine break/fix support and regression testing and support the inbound/outbound interfaces to the system and middleware Education Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Technology, design, visual arts, communication, creative or related field. Required Experience Six or more years of experience developing/designing component-based web, mobile, or desktop applications Required. Two or more years of experience with Workday Business Processes, system configuration, and implementation Required. Expert knowledge of user-centered design principles Required. Two or more years of experience working with cloud technologies Preferred. Experience with agile methodologies Preferred.
