Job Description Additional Info/ Position Duties: Java Application Development for Video Content Metadata Management System Video Metadata Management System for importing/exporting the data between Xumo servers and partner servers by various different format (XML, JSON, RSS) and schema Requirement gathering and specification design Designing data flow, architecture, database schema, error case handling for importing/exporting such video metadata Designing of recommendation/personalization algorithm and endpoints Implementation, incorporation of third-party libraries Designing of deployment process to cloud microservice platform (Google Cloud, Kubernetes) Test case design, actual verification and documentation of the specifications Monitoring design and implementation CI/CD pipeline design and implementation Qualifications: ‹ 5+ years Java with JEE and/or Spring, Spring Boot 3+ years experience building web service APIs (REST/SOAP) and HTTP/SSL protocol 3+ years database expertise (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB) Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment approaches Strong Experience of working with Linux-based environments (CentOS, OSX) Intermediate knowledge of Git/Maven Strong knowledge of proven design patterns and an ability to select an optimal approach for problem solving Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision to create quality output Desirable Experience Experience developing scalable and highly available applications Experience developing microservices/SOA on Kubernetes Experience with Cloud deployment (Google Cloud Platform, Amazon AWS) Experience working with Docker Experience with security configurations throughout infrastructure (firewall, VPN, facilities, platforms, security certificates and credential management).
