Salary Range: 135,000-$160,000 Annually This is a remote position but candidates must live and be legally authorized to work within the United States without employer sponsorship. REMOTE POSITION Briebug is seeking an experienced Sr. Java/Full Stack Software Engineer to join our growing team of experts in delivering unmatched value to projects and people. An exciting variety of opportunities exist to help deliver applications by bridging the gap from idea to implementation. The Sr. Java/Full Stack Software Engineer will use critical thinking, analysis, research, and business acumen to evaluate and recommend solutions for project requirements. You will be collaborating directly with the rest of the engineering team, product team, and technical team to understand the scope, requirements, and technical constraints as well as customer needs to produce new features and improve upon existing experiences. The awesome things you would do: Work closely with other engineers to pioneer and spearhead frontend technologies Create reusable, scalable, maintainable, and well-tested solutions Mentor and motivate others around you with your passion and expertise Collaborate with product owners and other engineers on building high-quality features Capable of owning projects through design, implementation, and deployment Effectively prioritize workload to meet deadlines and work objectives Write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to various audiences Gather requirements, write functional/technical specifications, and communicate them effectively Communicate technical information to a non-technical audience Create one piece of content (blogs, articles, videos) quarterly Must haves: A combined total of 6+ years of experience in Java and Angular: Minimum of 4+ years of Java experience working in real-world applications including SPA UIs Minimum of 2+ years of full-stack experience using Angular (including v12 or greater) for enterprise applications including database design and development. Advanced knowledge of RxJs and NgRx or similar state management library 5+ years experience troubleshooting and optimizing enterprise applications Extensive knowledge and experience with Angular and its core principles Reactive/functional programming patterns Reactive Forms, Angular Material, AgGrid Node + Express (used by mock APIs) Data-driven patterns Basic architectural patterns Experience with Nx workspace and Cypress + Cucumber Understanding of unit & feature (e2e) testing Solid understanding of Angular best practices, style guide, testing, and component architecture Expert in frontend web development including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and web APIs Confident working with modern development tools such as Git, Babel/Webpack, NPM, etc Thorough knowledge of TypeScript Excellent problem-solving skills Familiarity with Agile/Scrum concepts and experience working in an Agile environment Strong communication skills to interface with product owners, stakeholders, and team members A strong desire to learn new technologies Object-oriented design patterns and API development using Java Strong Spring Boot experience for API development Strong SQL skills for designing, programming, and optimizing queries Bonus points: Solid understanding of functional programming Experience and capability with Python Experience with test automation languages/frameworks: Cucumber, Gherkin, Behave Experience with ops support of a complex UNIX-based system Thorough knowledge and experience with React or willingness to learn Experience in developing responsive design websites Experience with .NET, Java, Node.js or similar technologies Familiarity with modern frontend build pipelines and tools Experience with Ionic Solid understanding of functional programming Benefits Medical Dental Vision 401k Open PTO Please note that during the application and interview process, we may ask you to take a series of assessments that will better help us understand your potential as a great fit, and if you are hired, how we can best set you up for success.
