SYSCOMs client is seeking experienced Software Engineer candidates for vulnerability analysis and resolution fixes capabilities within a comprehensive Change Management lifecycle. The system supports clients and business units by providing 24/7 Enterprise Operational Support to maintain continuous application uptime, reliability, and software/hardware resiliency. The group supports the current and future state software, platforms, and technologies, over 250 applications. Work Location: Remote role, but candidate must be available for potential travel to client office in Annapolis and Baltimore, MD. Candidate must live in the U.S. Duration: 3 years Selected candidate should have experience with the following technologies and skills: Proven experience with operations and support for applying certificates, HIS, Windows Server & Unix OS knowledge, IIS, Apache Tomcat, Mid-tier vendor/custom in-house software component processes, knowledge of Akamai protector software “ VERSUS. Proven experience with languages such as iOS, Java, VB, C, .Net, and JBOSS. Experience with additional platforms and applications which include COTs, in-house developed applications, and SaaS solutions with integrations. Minimum Qualifications: 8 years of Software Engineering experience within Enterprise IT 8 years of experience with .NET, Java 5 years of experience with C and JBOSS Must reside in the US and work East Coast hours and be available for on-call, after hours support Candidate must be US Citizen or Green Card holder Job duties will include, but are not limited to: The team will access the ServiceNow Reports and Dashboards daily, checking for newly submitted service requests (vulnerabilities). Fix new, current, and backlogged vulnerabilities in accordance with clients Vulnerability Management Standard. Provide vulnerability support including Root Cause Analysis, Remediation Plan, Data Correction, Short-term and Long-term Fixes, for vulnerabilities impacting any of the systems. Communicate with cross functional teams on status and resolution process for vulnerabilities. Provide detailed audit logs of what actions were taken and document the resolution for each vulnerability Engage with cross functional partners (Change Controls, DBAs, System Support team members, etc.) Follow clients practices and processes for release management for any changes requiring Production changes, including the creation of change management tickets in ServiceNow and managing these tickets through implementation.
