Responsibilities Ready to make an impact! Peraton is looking for a Software Engineer to support the Threat Products and Services (TPS) on the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) program. The job location is at the government site, located on Schriever SFB, CO.This role requires candidates to be on-site daily with no option for remote/hybrid work. The Software Engineer will be responsible for the following but not limited to: Design, develop, test, document and integrate simulation products for the Threat Modeling Center (TMC) organization using Java, C++ and/or C# programming languages on Windows and Linux operating systems Interfacing with TMC customers and presenting technical briefings to TMC stakeholders Eperience in software development to support the modeling and simulation of missile defense systems Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or related discipline with 2+ years related experience; 0+ years with Masters Degree; HS/GED with 6+ years experience Experience with Software Engineering or Code Development is required Experience in software development using C++, C#, Java or similar programming language Must have a basic understanding of Windows and Linux platforms Experience using GIT or other version control systems Experience in Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA and Confluence) Knowledge of software design patterns Must have a current active DoD Secret Clearance Desired Qualifications: Familiarity with the Linux KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) Experience in Agile software development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban Knowledge/ experience in modeling and simulation development Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
