Position Summary: The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) works as part of a team within a fast-paced, fun, challenging and creative environment in order to achieve team-oriented goals. The SDET will provide analysis and testing of enhancements, modifications, and new development for our software products and services; work as a member of an Agile Squad within the Technology organization; and work directly with the software developers to ensure that the project deliverables work properly before they become available to the end users. The ideal Software Development Engineer in Test is one well-versed in agile methodologies, has a constant focus on improving the QA process, is excellent at communication and can thrive in a fast-moving, hyper-growth environment. Essential Job Functions: Learn software engineering practice under Agile and concepts around TDD and CICD Learn software quality assurance principles and practice as you develop automated tests Use initiative to solve different problems, or propose effective solutions for those problems Contribute to a squads sprint velocity Coach new team members Create and maintain documentation Desire to take on new challenges Self-driven to learn about software development Possess basic software development skills and knows object-oriented concepts Demonstrates the ability to find bugs Advocates for user experience and users definition of quality Desire to help customers and other teammates Demonstrates a positive attitude and works well in fast-paced environment Exhibits proactive problem-solving skills Excellent time management and organizational skills Demonstrates ability to learn new concepts, processes, tools, methodologies, programming languages and apply them to the current job Communicates well Ability to give and receive feedback Position Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related STEM degree 1-2 years software development experience Knowledge of SaaS architecture, microservices, and some API testing tools such as Postman, RunScope, ReadyAPI, RestAssured, RestSharp etc. Software development knowledge: Object Oriented Design, C#, .Net, JavaScript, Angular, XUnit, SQL, Gitlab, CICD Preferred software development knowledge: Java, iOS, Linux, Maven, TestNG, Protractor, Cypress, Docker, Kubernetes, HTML, DOM/POM, Xpath, TDD, AWS, Azure, Ionic, Jmeter Working knowledge of Visual studio VS Code Knowledge or experience with software quality assurance principles and practices The above description covers the most significant duties performed but does not include other related occasional work that may be assigned or is completed by the employee.
