Software Automation Engineer/ SDET- Santa Clara, CA- Remote The Software Automation Engineer should be able to debug software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products. Design and execute software test plan, implement automation programs and scripts. Analyze and write test standards and procedures, maintain documentation, test results, debug and recommend corrective solutions, take actions to resolve the problems and consult with product owners, development leads and engineers to ensure the product quality is maintained as expected. Provide feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems and software. Development Engineer in Test who has affinity to research and come up with innovative solutions to the Responsibilities: — Work with cross-functional teams to develop and validate SW test methods and tools — Manage the definition of test methods and the creation of test plans for new or updated software — Execute test cases on projects with varying difficulty — Write test automation scripts, code, and participate in code reviews — Help drive decisions about test automation strategies — Compose, execute and assess results of functional and non-functional tests according to the defined by the test strategy — Configure and manage test environments — Perform regression tests to ensure software functionality for internal research and product software pipelines — Identify and manage issues and provide recommendations to stakeholders — Promote agile software development best practices and test-driven development culture — Provide detailed bug reports to engineering team using JIRA Skills: — Ability to work on multiple projects with changing priorities — An affinity for problem solving, and the ability to understand complex relationships between product functionality and requirements — Java or Python, Scripts and OOP concepts — Knowledge of Selenium WebDriver, BDD — Knowledge of operating systems, Maven, Jenkins, AWS, Dockers, Safe, HP ALM — Proficiency in hardware, software and/or operating systems environments — Strong communication and organizational skills Qualifications: — Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, mathematics, or engineering Experience ‹ — Experience with developing test automation framework framework — Experience with Java or Python, Scripts and OOP concepts — Experience with Rest API, Soap API, Bitbucket.
