As a cloud computing engineer, you know how to build and deploy a cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to help us develop cloud-based solutions for some of the Department of Veterans Affairs toughest challenges. On our team, you will be able to use your cloud skills to modernize critical VA systems to enhance the Veteran experience and improve efficiencies at the VA. This is an opportunity to use the latest Azure cloud technologies in concert with a CI/CD tempo as you look for ways to improve our client’s environment using current cloud capabilities. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work with customers and stakeholders within the VA to inform strategy and design and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process. You will recommend tools and solutions based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on premise, cloud based, and hybrid resources. You will help lead the team as they help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. Additionally, you will broaden your skillset in areas like working within GovCloud environments and automating critical business logic while developing critical systems for the VA. You Have: 4+ years of experience with working in the Azure cloud environment with the administration and deployment of Azure App Services and Web Jobs, azure logs, azure Functions, APIM, Application Gateway, or AD user managements, Azure monitoring, including applications, security events, or process health, application insights, including Kusto query, and kudu deployments and Logs monitoring 2+ years of experience with cloud migrations for legacy applications Experience with GitHub repositories and CI/CD concepts and leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to configure Azure cloud environments Experience in the use of official CLI and cloud SDKs to interact with common Azure services Experience with programming languages, including C# and Java programming for building Web APIs, JavaScript, HTML, or CSS Experience with Dynamics, including web resources and deploy solutions, Cosmos DB, including container management, and SQL server, including Tables, queries, and stored procedures Experience with all browsers, including Edge, Chrome, and Firefox and developer tools, Visual studio and Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, IntelliJ, PowerShell, Azure CLI, and application debugging Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements Bachelor’s degree Azure Certification at the Associate level or higher Nice If You Have: Experience with basic database administration Experience with system administration Knowledge of SAFe, Service Now, and Jira Knowledge of application performance monitoring and reporting Vetting: Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client.
