Opportunity Overview SD Solutions is seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Engineer to join our team supporting Digital Modernization program to provide agile technical delivery activities and are responsible for crafting technical strategy with our larger technical team. This position is remote. Responsibilities Include Responsible for designing, developing, and deploying modern Java web applications iteratively in the AWS environment using DevSecOps Tools Use of Object Oriented or Functional Programming Well able to function in a Test-Driven Development environment Work in Pair Programming Work with Cloud Technologies (AWS, etc.) Work in a JVM based environment with the technologies listed below in requirements Requirements Overview BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience in related area with at least 5 years of software engineering experience Strong programming skills with Java (8+) Experience with Spring Framework (Core, Boot, Data), JavaScript, ReactJS, Redux, Python, Experience working with container-based technology such as Docker Experience working with Configuration Management/Automation technologies such as Cloud Formation, Terraform, Ansible, etc. Experience with Python, EKS, Helm is preferred Experience working in Agile Development environments (Scrum, SAFe) At least 3+ years of experience working in AWS environment Experience working in cloud native systems Experience with DevOps / DevSecOps Experience implementing modern web applications Experience with teams of technologists of varying backgrounds and levels of experience Experience managing end-to-end delivery, from UX design to production release. Experience working within a Continuous Delivery Patterns and Practices Experienced operationalizing, monitoring, and maintaining distributed systems Active Public Trust Clearance with IRS component/agency is highly preferred Employment Type Full-time, W2 employment Exempt, salaried Eligible for paid benefits Clearance, Citizenship, and Work Location Note: Due to Executive Order 14042, all contractors must be vaccinated for COVID-19 or provide a justification/accommodation for not obtaining vaccination.
