GDIT is seeking a Senior Data Warehousing Programmer to join our team supporting the U.S. Department of Energys (DOE) Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Corporate Information Systems to provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Support Services of their Corporate Business Systems (CBSOM). As the Data Warehousing Programmer, you will be providing functional/technical solutions to improve the existing design as well as build new Dashboards, Applications (Using APEX), Reports, KPIs, ETLs and Advanced Analytics using DOE Applications, Oracle Analytics Server (OAS)/Business Intelligence (OBIEE), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Oracle WebCenter Suite. You will support DOEs Corporate Business Systems, used by over 14,000 users to fulfill the agencys mission to promote energy independence, progress scientific research, and protect the nation through nuclear security. The Office of Corporate Business Systems requires database administration support services for several systems within the Enterprise umbrella of systems. These systems include: Integrated Data Warehouse (IDW) Standard Accounting and Reporting System (STARS) “ Oracle EBS Strategic Integrated Procurement Enterprise System (STRIPES) “ Unison Prism Budget Formulation ad Execution (BFADS) “ Oracle Hyperion ePerformance (Outsourced employee performance appraisal system) DOEInfo (Departmental data repository of payroll/personnel information) Automated Time and Attendance Production System (ATAPPS) (Departments time and attendance system) In this role, a typical day will include: Assess current implementation of OAS/OBIEE including business, data and system architecture, configurations, dashboards, ETLs, reports development, and provide recommendations and roadmaps for the future state solution architecture Installation and configuration of system environments Assess DOE application modules and source data for various lines of business and architect solutions using Oracle Analytics (OA)/Business Intelligence (BI) tools and technologies Collaborate effectively with customers, users, lines of business, and internal teams to come up new requirements and OA/BI solutions Design and develop new OA/BI reports and ODI ETL processes following industry best practices Build, maintain, and support existing and future applications on the APEX platform Work collaboratively as a member of the team to support business operations for WebCenter/Middleware applications Designing, developing, integrating, and customizing Oracle WebCenter products utilizing various development technologies such as front-end web development technologies (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, etc.) and Java Writing Java and JavaScript code to enhance the user experience and efficiency of a search results interface Responsible for development of testing solutions/test plans/scenarios Conduct work group meetings, perform requirements analysis, application design, and develop functional and technical design documents Participate in and conduct peer reviews as needed WHAT YOULL NEED: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant discipline with 7 years of relevant experience in Extract Transform and Load (ETL) and Oracle Analytics. Without a degree 8-10 years of relevant experience is required. Two thirds of the experience need to be in a data warehouse environment supporting Oracle Analytics with managing Oracle and Prism implementations being preferred. Extensive experience using Oracle WCC, OAS/OBIEE, OA/BI Apps, ODI, Advanced Analytics, and Oracle database Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, Java, HTML, JavaScript, Identify and analyze business needs versus existing applications and serve as the expert guiding through innovative solutions Experience with Analytics and Data Visualization using Oracle Analytics tools and Visual Analyzer Full lifecycle ODI implementation experience including data modeling, data mart design and architecture, ETL design, and advanced customization and configuration of ODI repository objects including Mappings, Interfaces, Packages, Scenarios and Knowledge Modules Extensive experience configuring the OAS repository (RPD) at the physical, business model, and presentation layers to meet business requirements Extensive experience developing Dashboards, Analyses, Agents, Prompts, Actions and other Presentation Services elements in OAS/OBIEE to meet business requirements Experience driving continuous improvement of business processes and technical operations Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to business leaders Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Clearance and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting US Citizenship Preferred qualifications (optional) Experience with ServiceNow for incident management, problem management, and service request management Oracle Analytics Server and Application Express certifications Functional or technical experience with federal Oracle e-Business Suite (EBS) and Unison/Compusearch PRISM Previous Department of Energy experience WHAT GDIT CAN OFFER YOU: Full-flex work week 401K with company match Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career Collaborative teams of highly motivated critical thinkers and innovators Ability to make a real impact on the world around you Not sure this jobs the one for you? The likely salary range for this position is $99,200 – $148,800, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
