As a Senior Data Engineer on the Optum Insight team, you will write code as well as review code of other engineers. You will work with cross-functional teams and need to be confident working independently while handling and guiding the team. You should be detail-oriented and able to document low to highly complex functional designs and data structures in order to support business and operational requirements. This position is located at the Charleston, WV office. However, we will consider fully telecommute candidates. Primary Responsibilities: Bring innovative ideas to help continuously improve the application portfolio including the design, build, deploy, test and runtime within hybrid cloud ecosystems Build, Administer, maintain, and production support of Oracle Fusion Middleware (WebLogic, Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle HTTP Server) v 12.x, JBoss, and Apache servers Build and deploy Java applications using SVN, Jenkins, and ANT/WLST scripts Participate in troubleshooting and debugging critical problems and resolving complex technical issues that may arise in a hybrid cloud platform A great attitude, passion, and persistence to solve complex problems Drive automation using best in class CI/CD and DevOps principles Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment Work with geographically distributed Agile teams Youll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree or 4+ years of equivalent experience 5+ years of experience with administration, maintenance, and production support of Oracle Fusion Middleware (WebLogic, Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle HTTP Server) v 12.x 3+ years of experience with Java application build and deployment using SVN, Jenkins, and ANT/WLST scripts 2+ years of experience working with RedHat Linux platform and shell scripting 3+ years of experience with Installing and configuring new WebLogic and SOA Suite servers 3+ years of experience with troubleshooting production issues, performance monitoring and fine tuning 2+ years of experience with using GitHub and Maven for CI/CD Preferred Qualifications: Broad technology experience, including complex systems integration and infrastructure expertise with hybrid cloud platforms Hands-on experience with maintenance and production support of Integrated Eligibility (IE) system or healthcare domains Experience with Agile Methodology Proven willingness to learn and adapt to different technology stack *All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Groups Telecommuter Policy. California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $85,000 to $167,300 per year.
