We are seeking an Senior Backend Engineer for a US based tech unicorn. The right candidate will be assertive and work to bring people together to help solve complex problems with an iterative, feedback driven approach. The right candidate will also be able to work independently under changing and non-specific requirements. While we would prefer candidates have deep experience with Kotlin, Azure and Xandr, we will consider strong candidates without this specific background. Requirements C1 level of English or above. 5+ years of experience building and scaling backend systems. 5+ years experience programming in Kotlin, Scala or Java (Kotlin preferred) Experience working with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud (Azure preferred) Experience working with Microsoft Xandr (not required but preferred). Experience leading projects which involve collaboration with peers and customers. Ability to write and debug production-quality backend code. Ability to design new systems and evaluate the trade-offs in time to market, scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability. A desire to focus on customer needs and solve real world problems.
