Job Description The Senior Front End Architect is responsible for designing architectural solutions that align with the business’ needs with expertise creating and documenting architectures for large-scale front-end applications. The senior architect is responsible for defining the technical roadmap for the platforms, leveraging reference architectures and works regularly with the development teams to gain adherence. The senior architect communicates well and can work independently. RESPONSIBILITIES Ability to optimize JavaScript implementations Solve complex CSS and HTML compatibility issues in legacy browsers Evaluate new frameworks and tools that can be integrated into the existing applications Works effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment Participates in the estimates for projects based on interface wireframes/desired functionality Able to work independently and offer insights and analysis on existing codebases Performance considerations are second nature Researches emerging topics related to assigned tasks and presents findings to the team Participates in all pertinent project meetings Provides research to support business and information technology groups within the organization Advises on options, impact on other business processes, and system priorities Prioritizes assigned tasks and keeps manager up to date on status and roadblocks Develops high-level product specifications/diagrams with a focus on system integration Ability to see the big picture and suggest approaches for software design Mentor other engineers and guide them through design and implementation questions TEAMWORK Positive, active member of a team, who can express opinions in a constructive manner. Networks with senior members in their areas of expertise. Qualifications Requirements: May require a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 10+ years related experience. Use of Git SCM command line and tools required Defining and implementing front end standards and best practices Building consensus on new patterns/technologies with broader group of software architects Expertise in AWS Serverless technology required Familiarity with headless CMS systems required 10+ years OO and MVC software/web/API dev experience required Strong knowledge of software development and project management methodologies Strong problem solving and analytical skills Good presentation skills Good oral and written communication skills Good organizational skills Recognize and acknowledge the value of other’s contributions Recognizes other’s emotions and responds with empathy Must possess excellent time management and prioritization skills Preferred skills: ReactJS and NodeJS knowledge required; GraphQL knowledge preferred Behavior driven design experience preferred Expert level of C# or Java knowledge nice to have Additional Information Why choose us?
