ICF is a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial, multi-faceted consulting company, seeking a Senior Angular developer to support our work across HHS and NIH. We are looking to add an independent, energetic, and self-motivated Angular developer to an established team working on a federal government project. Its a small team of developers with support from matrixed staff in other roles. We look for someone who loves to learn and is passionate about keeping up to date with industry trends and technology. This developer will participate in building and modernizing web-based applications to support our projects, work with technical leads to develop and enforce standards, collaborate with a development team, and follow solutions as they are developed through production deployment. The ICF team performs custom software development to modernize siloed, legacy applications using modular design standards. The team works closely with clients and other contractors to ensure the performance and reliability of public-facing, mission-critical applications. What youll be doing: Develop, debug, optimize, and refactor Angular applications by evaluating client needs; analyzing requirements; developing software systems. Collaborate with the team to design and implement features. Actively participate in Merge Request code reviews. Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs. Write unit tests to maintain code quality and coverage. Work with JSON/REST APIs to integrate backend services. Document code and processes. Actively participate in project discussions and team meetings (e.g., daily standups, code reviews.) Minimum Qualifications: BS in computer science or related field. 3+ years of experience with Angular development. Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust. Preferred Qualifications Expertise in the Angular framework (version 2+; ideally up to the most recent v16) and proficiency in Typescript/Javascript. Strong understanding of RxJS within the Angular framework. Proficiency in at least one major UI/Component framework, preferably Angular Material or PrimeNG. Highly proficient in HTML 5, CSS 3.0, JavaScript, REST Concepts, JWT. Familiarity with modern HTML/CSS best practices, including Flexbox and CSS Grid layouts. Knowledge of the US Web Design System (USWDS) [ ]. Experience with Git/Gitlab and agile workflows. Ability to work independently, demonstrating problem-solving skills specific to Angular applications. Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow with the team and evolving technologies. Desirable/Plus Qualifications: Full-stack development experience, ideally with Kotlin or Java. Understanding of search engines, particularly Elasticsearch. Familiarity with the subject matter ( ). Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, especially Gitlab. Experience with Docker/Kubernetes. Proficiency in the Google Cloud Platform. Familiarity with Linux/shell commands.
