This is a remote 6 month contract-to-hire position based in VA. Benefits including medical, dental, vision, etc., 401k, PTO offered during contract duration. Must have or be able to obtain DoD security clearance. Description: We are seeking a Software Engineer to support our customer’s Digital Engineering Center of Excellence in support of the US Air Force. Responsibilities: -Develop and deliver a digital engineering design solution, which enables and integrates the programs complete set of data, tools, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) activities, and makes them available to internal external engineering and programmatic stakeholders throughout the programs lifecycle. The efforts of this team will play a critical piece during the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of product development. -Will be responsible for writing the Java plug-ins into CAMEO -Responsible for writing production Java code via the usage of vendor APIs to translate data across environments, while adhering to reference schemas (e.g. NoMagic openAPI). -Write Java applications that transform standardized “node-edge” relational data into compliant graph data. Write applications that ensure data compliance and integrity. -Develop service-based framework for basic operations (create, read, update, delete) for custom data architectures. -Develop translation routines that convert relational data to serialized and/or markup languages (e.g. JSON, XML) and reverse. -Develop collaborative build-deploy environment, while maintaining configuration and version control. -Deploy applications to production cloud, while maintaining development and test environments for pre-production. -Participate in weekly and monthly code sprints towards software release milestones. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering Must have at least 5+ years of Java programming experience with writing plugins as a main factor Eligible and willing to obtain/maintain a security clearance Desired Qualifications: -Experience/Knowledge in Digital Engineering/Model Based Systems Engineer and familiarity with Cameo, MagicDraw, Sparks EA, or similar digital engineering tools -OMG Certification -Experience modeling complex systems for the Department of Defense or other -Experience with Graph databases, SpringBoot, Jackson libraries -Experience utilizing Maven for Java applications. -Experience developing Java applications in Eclipse. -Experience utilizing Jackson framework. -Experience using configuration management/version control tools such as Git. -3+ years’ experience working in Agile/SCRUM engineering and production environments. -Experience developing applications using Spring framework. -Experience deploying production Java applications in cloud environments. -Experience in a rapid paced, time sensitive, high-quality environment. -Strong written and verbal communication skills along with strong customer service. -Ability to multitask, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively including attention to detail.
