Do you love building šï¸ products people love? We are seeking an experienced Principal DevOps Engineer to join the accesso Passport and Guest Experience Site Reliability Engineering team. This team serves as the backbone of accesso’s enterprise ticketing and guest experience (TE2) platforms consisting of over 20 applications such as ticket sales, access control, personalized content, and reporting. You will work alongside a team of cloud and software engineers to ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of our production and non-production infrastructure completely hosted on AWS. As part of the accesso Group, you will contribute to helping our clients sell more tickets, streamline operations, provide location-based personalized content, drive revenue, and improve the guest experience. Our ticketing solutions allow our clients to sell general admissions, reserved seats, time/date specific tickets, season passes, memberships, and so much more. Location: United States; then, you choose what works for you! This role can be performed 100% remotely anywhere in the US. Reports to: Cloud Engineering Manager Travel ˆï¸ Requirement: less than 10% What you’ll be working on: Develop and maintain automation processes and tooling for release large mission critical application in our cloud SaaS solutions. Make things scale”: build software automation that enables digital experiences in the physical world, use insights to design metrics-driven automation, collaborate with Engineering teams to improve platform reliability and performance Enabling personalized guest experiences based on specific location using location-based technologies (BLE Beacons, GPS, and WiFi Position Triangulation) Improving immutable artifact deployments with CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration Minimizing complexity and cost with FaaS (e.g. AWS Lambda) and service mesh (e.g. istio) Observability, capacity planning, system and service performance analysis and tuning Collaborate and communicate. Within the organization, you will draft and communicate maintenance plans to the rest of the organization, develop and influence tools used, and standardize processes that empower accesso’s engineering teams to ensure effective and efficient operations. Externally to clients and vendors, you may serve as an escalation point and as a SME on accesso platforms and processes Develop, maintain, and analyze automation processes and tooling for AWS environments Mentor and collaborate with other DevOps Engineers Present to leadership on a regular basis What you bring to the role: 5+ years of CI/CD automation processes and tooling on large scale cloud environment and tool building. 5+ years containerization and Kubernetes Administration (EKS) 5+ years of highly-available or high-volume site reliability engineering or systems administration 5+ years of infrastructure automation, configuration management or immutable artifact orchestration Strong with 1+ languages (e.g. Python, Java, Kotlin, Go (golang), bash) and git Willingness to develop SRE practices within an agile DevOps culture Periodic participation in an after-hours deployment You understand the importance of and have implemented infrastructure and application security Ability to work independently and as part of a team ï¸ Bonus points if you have: You possess or are pursuing an AWS certification Don’t worry if you don’t have all the qualifications listed!
