Cognizant is looking for an experienced top-notch Principal Architect to grow with our Digital Engineering practice! We are looking for a passionate Architect/Leader who can design and implement application architecture and drive application strategies and roadmap for a suite of systems or domain. The Principal Architect owns and communicates the architectural vision of the product or solution with which the professionals are involved with the systems, development platforms, integration methodologies, and broad, detailed knowledge of Java, Cloud and DevOps technologies and industry trends. The Principal Architect will partner with other architects and technology decision-makers to guide overall design and direction of the technical environment, and will work closely with Technical Leads, Solution Architects, Software Developers and Management in a highly collaborative environment. We take an Experience centered approach which uses human insights to take ideas from vision to outcome and building experience led solutions that enables brands to transform their customer and employee experiences using design, marketing and commerce capabilities Position Responsibilities: · Collaborate with software engineers and technical business analysts to understand requirements, identify technical solutions, and contribute to solution design. · Provide technical oversight in all phases of the software development life cycle. · Build and maintain efficient, scalable cloud environments. · Hands on coding and support of existing APIs. Lead the technical approach for development and follow established client standards. Spearhead project implementation decisions Analyze and evaluate detailed business and technical requirements. · Operate as the point of escalation for internal technical leads and engineers on the project. · Act as an influencer in design process and direction of products by providing innovative ideas, technical insights, and recommendations. · Participates in talent acquisition and interviewing activities when required. Position Qualifications: · 10+ years experience in Software engineering and designing complex software solutions. · Proven ability to lead others and influence the engineering culture and practices within an organization. · Expert level knowledge in design and programming using Java, JavaScript, Python, or other comparable languages. · Experience with software design patterns and writing clean code specifically in a microservice environment. · Expert level experience designing and developing microservices. · Solution Architecture experience · Strong handle on data persistence technologies and optimization (both SQL and NoSQL) · Extensive experience in cloud technologies, specifically AWS offerings including EKS, ECS, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, Eventbridge, SQS, SNS among others. · Experience developing and deploying applications on AWS. · Experience working within an agile environment using CI/CD pipeline. · Knowledge of Github Actions and Jenkins automation · Possess superior oral and written communication skills to convey issues and ideas clearly and effectively to team members, management, and customers. · JavaScript experience with React Framework.
