Responsibilities As the nations risk adviser, we (CISA) help our partners strengthen their own capabilities and connect our stakeholders in industry and government to each other and to resources, analyses, and tools to help them build their own cyber, communications, and physical security and resilience, and in turn, strengthening national resilience. Peraton is seeking an experienced Mid-level Cyber Software Engineer for its’ Federal Strategic Cyber sector, located in Arlington, VA Location: Arlington. VA; some remote/hybrid working is possible. Need to be local to be able to come on site as needed. In this role, you will: Conduct requirements gathering and analysis to scope the development efforts. Design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and document software applications leveraging AWS cloud technology. Directly contribute to developing new components/features for an Angular front-end application. Participate in the agile development and change management processes and software (e.g., JIRA). Produce and maintain software/change documentation (e.g., Gitlab, GitHub, Bitbucket). Interface and work closely with customer stakeholders. Conduct analysis of operational gaps and provide technical recommendations. Participate in troubleshooting/diagnostic efforts to replicate problems and test solutions. Assist with developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures. Identify and propose technology, process improvements and best practices for providing cyber analytic solutions for the customer. Conduct demos, presentations and briefings as required. Participate and provide input as part of Agile project daily stand-up, sprint planning, backlog refinement and retrospective meetings. Ad hoc “ other duties will be assigned as needed. Provide engineering designs for new software solutions Take a lead in software design, implementation, and testing Design and build prototype solutions Research and identify application flaws Remedy development mistakes Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise Maintain technical documentation Qualifications Basic Requirements: Bachelors degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience in a related discipline. An additional two (2) years of experience may be substituted with an Associates degree, and additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted with a high school diploma U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated DHS background investigation (EOD) for continued employment Angular (TypeScript) experience Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Java experience Preferred Qualifications: Angular Routing Twitter Bootstrap AWS Solutions Architect Certification Gitlab/CodeCommit Spring Boot, Hibernate Docker/Containerization Peraton Overview Peraton drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy.
