Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to: Manual testing (UI and API) of software functionality and regression Test plan and test case development Bug management and error tracking Test report documentation Coordination and prioritization of testing activities and the ability to work with multiple development teams and software projects are also critical for the selected candidate. Candidate must have the ability to independently troubleshoot software issues. Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Working knowledge of HTML 5 and CSS. Experience with Quality Assurance best practices and testing methodologies. Experience with issues tracking software such as Jira. Experience with collaboration software such as Confluence. Experience working in an Agile development environment. Excellent analytical and debugging skills. Experience with executing both functional and usability testing. Ability to work with multiple development teams and software projects. Self-driven individual with strong organizational, administrative and communication skills and a high level of attention to detail. Ability to articulate test results, user impacts and remediation options and provide defensible rationale for accessibility compliance. Verified experience in: Black box testing, White box testing, boundary testing, negative testing, functional and regression testing. Test Plan and Test Case Development based on software engineering documentation (testing based on product requirements) Experience with executing both functional and usability testing. Experience with SQL scripting. Creation of test planning and reporting documentation. Experience with reporting of test results. Excellent analytical and problem determination skills. Basic understanding of program interfaces, services, databases, messaging, files systems, and other program objects. Will be subject to a background investigation by the government and must be able to meet the requirements to hold a position of public trust. Desired Skills: Experience with accessibility tools such as Axe DevTools, browser plugins, document checkers, and using techniques such as screen readers and keyboard navigation. Demonstrated experience in 508 Compliance test execution and working directly with product development teams to resolve accessibility issues. Experience with automation testing Experience with source control management software such as BitBucket. Working background in GIS technologies such as ESRI including ArcSDE, ArcIMS, ArcGIS. Knowledge of Selenium. Knowledge of Java and/or C#. Experience with Git commands. Knowledge of ReadyAPI. Experience/Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, similar discipline, or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of structured software quality assurance engineering experience is required. 3+ years of hands-on experience with creation of test plans, development and execution of test cases and reporting and dissemination of test results is a must.î’ Working Environment & Conditions This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
