Overview: Mentor and lead a mid-sized team of software engineers in the B2B Commerce space. Responsibilities: As a part of a hands-on Engineering Management team, perform technology deep dives, facilitate procedures, and manage high- and low-level design processes and reviews. Drive forward the product vision, working closely with the product management, to scope, refine and break down projects. Participate in code reviews, scheduling, people management, reporting status, and the overall hiring process. Collaborate with the senior engineering management team and other cross-functional management teams to ensure high quality integrated software solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment. Help drive software development efforts from architecture to release. Attract and recognize talented engineers while cultivating an agile, high performance software development organization. Partner closely with stakeholders by building a strong, collaborative partnership that will help deliver software that achieves business objectives. Contribute ideas and recommendations to the product roadmap based on awareness of relevant industry trends and encourage transparency with each team’s release plans progress and impediments. Ensure the team can sustain the quality of their software by using practices including test-driven development, unit testing, and pair programming. Work across the organization by helping align the software development technology vision. Lead and champion the technical communications with the stakeholders/ partners/ clients. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, or related field. Experience: 8+ years of progessive experience as an Engineering Manager, Technical Lead, Solutions Architect, or related occupation. Special Requirements: Must have at least 3 years of prior work experience in each of the following: * Relevant hands-on technical management experience of software developers and systems administrators/architects. Using software development to build distributed systems. Using agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban to plan and deliver increments of functionality. Performing Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and leading an architecture team to set future direction of a platform. Leading and mentoring software engineers in a commercial software product company. Managing distributed remote teams. Technical command over back-end Python/Java and front-end in React. *Prefer candidates in DFW Metroplex region OR Eastern Time Zone Benefits: Salary Range for all U.S. Residents (excluding Alaska, California, North Dakota, South Dakota): $116,180.00 to $157,000.00 Salary Range for California Residents Only: $147,410.000 to $199,200.00 Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Blackhawk Network offers benefits including 401k with employer match, medical, dental, vision, 12 paid holidays in the year 2023, sick pay accrual according to state law, parental leave, life insurance, disability insurance, accident and illness insurance, health and dependent care flexible spending accounts, wellness benefits, and flexible time off for all full-time employees.
