Opportunity for talented Lead Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join to a strong, collaborative engineering team focused on innovation across the enterprise. You will contribute analysis, automation design, coding, engineering, testing, debugging, standards, methods, tools analysis, documentation, research and development, maintenance, new development, operations, and delivery in an agile environment across the application stack and portfolio. The Lead Software engineer will engage in technical discussions as a subject matter expert, have a point of view to offer and have strategic influence with the product, business stakeholders and other engineering teams to design and develop product offerings while helping improve efficiency, quality, and speed in the development process. Youll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: Partner with IT and business to establish technical expertise of our legacy applications Provide technical leadership role in the transformation planning sessions, while collaborating with broader organization Establish standards and governance across our development practices across pharmacy Partner with architecture team on rationalization of technical solutions and modernization path Comply with OptumRx software engineering practices standards and principles Implement solutions aligned to the enterprise strategy leveraging strategic tools/technologies, patterns, processes Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications, automation of common tasks, processes/system capabilities for continuous improvement as applicable Partner with teams to build robust, efficient, effective solutions Be collaborative working within a team of diverse skills Communicate effectively with stakeholders, architects, engineers Youll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related discipline 6+ years of experience in software engineering including development with various technology platforms, tools, and environments 3+ years of experience working with programming, scripting languages such as Java, NodeJS, or Angular 2+ years of experience with APIs / micro-services 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms 1+ years of development experience utilizing Agile 1+ years of experience with regulatory compliance requirements and audits Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of experience with CI / CD tools 2+ years of experience with container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.) Experience in C++ Experience with event steaming platforms such as Kafka Experience with testing frameworks Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub actions Experience in working within large organizations Solid understanding of emerging technologies and trends in healthcare IT California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $101,200 to $184,000 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
