Position: Lead SDET Engineer with Python Location: 100% remote Duration: Long term Work Authorization: GC/USC Contract type: W2 NOTE: Must have over 9 years of hands on Python automation experience. Job Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. Requirements: Proven experience working as an SDET or in a similar quality assurance/testing role. Strong proficiency in Python programming language. Ability to design and develop robust automated test scripts using Python. Experience with Python test automation frameworks/libraries, such as Pytest, unittest, or Robot Framework. Familiarity with web and mobile test automation tools/frameworks like Selenium WebDriver or Appium. Knowledge of API testing frameworks, such as requests or pytest-bdd for API testing. Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices. Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments and familiarity with related testing processes. Proficiency in using version control systems like Git for code management. Qualifications: Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities to identify and resolve software defects. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. Experience using test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail) for test planning, execution, and reporting. Familiarity with debugging tools and techniques to troubleshoot software issues. Understanding of CI/CD practices and their integration with test automation workflows. Ability to work collaboratively with developers, product managers, and QA engineers. Proficiency in writing clear and concise test plans, test cases, and bug reports. Knowledge of other programming languages (e.g., Java, C#) for wider test coverage, familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
