Lead Java Full Stack Engineer Cognizant Digital Engineering If youre like us, youve got big ideas. At Cognizant, were exploring new perception every day! Job Summary Cognizant is looking for a multifaceted Lead Java Full Stack Engineer with experience crafting and developing knowledgeable software systems and applications. Responsible for developing and maintaining high-scale web applications. Your primary responsibility will be to build all server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of the central database and ensure excellent performance and reliability to front-end demands. The front-end components made by your coworkers would also need to be coordinated into the program. Cognizant will not sponsor H-1B or other U.S. work authorization for this role. Responsibilities: Works with the business team to identify the right business problem and capture the requirements. Present initial results to business collaborators and identify the next steps. Involved in requirements analysis and sizing by crafting, grooming, and sizing features and user stories for new requirements. Involved in crafting Program Increment/Sprint plans and attending daily scrum calls. Responsible for providing timely status as per the guidelines. Understand coding standard methodologies / guidelines. Estimating engineering work effort for engineering team and optimally identifying and prioritizing the high impact tasks Conducting design and code reviews to ensure code developed meets coding best. practices guidelines, unit testing, security, and scalability and maintainability guidelines Developing front end website architecture Crafting user interactions on web pages Developing back-end website applications. Crafting servers and databases for functionality. Ensuring responsiveness of applications. Working alongside graphic designers for web design features. Seeing through a project from conception to finished product. Crafting and developing APIs. Develop reusable patterns and encourage innovation that will improve team velocity. Key Qualifications: 10+ years or more of experience with Java Enterprise Edition (Java/J2EE) and web technologies development background. Proven experience leading teams and coordinating release activities. Knowledge of understanding and interpreting regression testing outputs, security scans, pipeline reports.
