Job Summary Cognizant is looking for a multidimensional hands-on Technical Lead who can lead solutions that are designed to meet the needs of the customer. Will provide strategic technical guidance to proactively improve the performance using best practices, whilst actively influencing customer staff engineers and leads. The ideal candidate will provide leadership and will supply with effective proposals to the client, as well must like to be hands-on, promote innovation, collaboration, and partnership. *You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. * Roles and Responsibilities: · Be a hands-on leader, designing, building and Supporting APIs for corporate systems. · Provide team leadership and ensure code and performance quality of team members. · Contribute to the generation of solution architecture proposals. · Contribute to and run with project implementations decisions. · Collaborates with stake holders, product owners and engineers (both internal and external) · Assist client in documenting operating processes and changes. · Codes and maintains complex components of information systems. · Operates as the point of escalation for internal software engineers on the project. · Responsibilities include attending stand ups, System Architecture Design, API development, participating in refinement and planning meetings, deploying to AWS environments and production support. · May participate in talent acquisition and interviewing activities. · Required Qualifications: · 8+ years experience in Software engineering. · A strong handle on software design patterns and writing clean code specifically in a microservice environment. · Hands on experience designing and developing microservices using Java/Spring Boot · Extensive experience in cloud technologies, specifically AWS services including EKS, Lambda, EMR. Glue and DynamoDB. · Good handle on data persistence technologies and optimization (both SQL and NoSQL) · Proven experience with API concepts and technologies such as REST, JSON, XML, SOAP, YAML, and Swagger. · Knowledge of GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins automation. · Possess strong oral communication skills to optimally liaise and consult with clients. · Solution Architecture experience nice to have. · JavaScript experience with React Framework is a nice to have. · Knowledge of container systems and tools such as Kubernetes and Docker. · Has the desire and ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly. Location is remote in the United States.
