The inward direction has the Solution Architect contributing to platform architecture, design and implementation, bringing expertise of use cases from a technical and domain-specific perspective. The outward direction has the Solution Architect acting as the engineering contact point for JCI solution developers, helping ensure their success defining and developing solutions. The successful Solution Architect defines solution architecture, develops solutions on the platform, educates other development teams on the usage of the platform. How you will do it: Architect solutions for complex systems Contribute to platform architecture as industry expert in use cases, along with product management and engineering Contribute to product implementations using the platform Document requirements clearly and concisely Provide constructive reviews and feedback Work with JCI engineering and Customer Success to explain the product, create/identify solution architectures Present and improve technical materials Support JCI developers and Customer Success remotely and/or occasionally in person Leverage and contribute to best practices across the team in use of tools, techniques, materials What we look for: Bachelors degree in engineering field such as mechanical, electrical or computer science Masters degree desired in a technical or business field Developed and/or supported software deployments for 5+ years Knowledge of Linux, python, bash scripting, system architecture in the context of creating deployment solutions Experience in C++, python or java, or demonstrated competence in similar scripting languages Experience in manufacturing and/or building automation Present training classes of a deeply technical nature Knowledge of machine learning use cases, types of models, applications Strong written communication skills, interacting with developers, responding with writing proposals to technical requirements Enjoy working in a startup environment, building new solutions Self-directed, ability to identify and contribute to areas for improvement, work with a collaborative team #DICE Johnson Controls International plc. is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, protected veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a qualified individual with a disability or any other characteristic protected by law.
