Job Title DevSecOps Engineer – Remote Location Remote Job Description Position: DevSecOps Engineer Work Location: Remote (near USDA Facility) ASRC Federal Vistronix is actively seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join our team and support development efforts for a government client in Kansas City. Responsibilities: Creating sustainable CI/CD automation for build, test and deployment of enterprise web applications written in JBoss and JAVA. Supporting the following DevOps Automation functions: Application Builds and packaging Application deployments Database deployments Software test automation Configuration management Infrastructure automation Application monitoring Automating complex operational tasks using common scripting utilities Scripting desired state configuration of Windows and Linux servers Work week generally consists of 40 hours including core hours. Some after-hours work can be expected at times. Job responsibilities rotate across the team on a schedule. Requirements Required Skills and Competencies: A successful candidate must have the following experience/competencies Advanced Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery system design using Jenkins. Experience managing GIT source code management systems. Expert knowledge of scripting including; PowerShell / Groovy / Python Experience with Gradle and Maven build scripts Experience with Jboss Tools, Java, NuGet, SonarQube and Nexus Knowledge and Experience with RHEL Server automation Integration, deployment, and system administration support of Apache / Tomcat Linux based applications Strong understanding of Web Services and Service Oriented Architecture Execute standard procedures with a high degree of quality Must have excellent inter-personal skills to be a superb teammate, and ability to contribute to a high-performing team Methodical approach to troubleshooting and documenting issues Experience with Atlassian tools, such as Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket Education and Experience: Four-year technical degree such as Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering; plus 3 years relevant work experience Preferred: 3-5 years experience with web application build automation and scripting server configurations. Preferred Skills and Competencies: Additional consideration will be given to candidates with the following skills/competencies. Experience with AWS Experience in SRE methodologies Experience with configuration management systems such as Puppet Experience in log aggregation; Splunk or ELK Experience in database CICD pipelines or liquibase Successful candidate is subject to a background investigation by the government and must be able to meet the requirements to hold a position of public trust.
