This position is for a experienced Data Engineer within the Lockheed Martin Space System’s Business IT&DE Organization – Space CDAO. We are looking for someone with strong experience in data, architecting, designing, and delivering full-stack data solutions across the entire data processing pipeline. The work location for this position is virtual. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: – Develop, design and deliver comprehensive, full-stack solutions across the entire data processing pipeline that meet functional requirements, minimizes technical debt, and adheres to data governance standards in support of a given initiative. – Participate in the strategy and development of architecture and technical roadmaps. – Establish architectural/design vision and direction and provide oversight, advice, and guidance to developers, users, customers, and stakeholders to ensure viability of proposed data solutions. – Facilitate design reviews and governance to ensure adherence to data engineering standards and consistency across Data & Analytics organization, product teams, and citizen developers. – Exercise solution design leadership on initiatives, driving alignment between Enterprise, Space, and Technical architecture to meet business needs. – Facilitate large groups of diverse stakeholders to obtain consensus on target solution. – U.S. Citizenship Basic Qualifications – Experience in SAP HANA native development, including calculation view modeling and performance optimization, SQL scripting, and application lifecycle management – Experience with structured and unstructured data in relational or NoSQL databases, including data warehouse, hosted on-premise or in the cloud (SAP HANA, Microsoft SQL server, Oracle, etc.) – Experience with ETL tools such as SAP Data Services, Informatica, Tableau Prep, Altyrex or equivalents and data modeling experience using tools like Erwin – Experience with software engineering and building data pipeline automations using GIT & Gitlab – Experience with ERP, MES, or PLM systems Desired skills Demonstrated Strong SAP HANA and Data Services hands on knowledge Proven SAP Functional ERP knowledge/experience Strong Knowledge on Cloud pak for Data (CP4D) Hands on ci/cd pipeline using git repository Demonstrated process automation experience Excellent SQL and Debugging skills Experience in Python, Java, Azure will be a plus Demonstrated experience working with technical teams Demonstrated Data engineering and Architecture experience developing complex technical solutions Demonstrated change and incident management experience for organization Demonstrated experience working projects across dispersed geographical locations Strong organization, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage priorities Demonstrated business acumen and ability to balance technical requirements with business needs Demonstrated experience with Agile Release and Sprint planning Proven experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies/techniques Experience with Agile Tool Suites (JIRA preferred) Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders Demonstrated ability to thrive in a virtual business environment Experience working on an agile team under frameworks like Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban.
