As a backend Java Engineer, you will partner with business stakeholders and software engineering teams to deliver solutions for digital transformation initiatives within our client. Your work will entail development of modern digital experiences and automated transactions to replace manual paper-based transactions. Ideal Background: Healthcare Insurance Experience, Digital Technologies, Portal Development, Primary Responsibilities: Work with product owner, enterprise architect and engineering teams to deliver key initiatives Provide technical guidance to the engineering team Ensure that features are sufficiently groomed including the creation of solution intent documentation in advance of agile planning sessions Effectively present & explain architecture, solution & design to business leaders, architects and engineering team Create CBA (cost benefit analysis), build consensus & buy-in from various stakeholders Research new technology, framework & tools to create solution which are cost effective, high performance & resilient Work with various teams in the organization such as QA, Infrastructure, Networking, PMO, customer to ensure delivery of the project Lead software development on key initiatives. May need to perform hand-on development Propose POCs for new approach, technology evaluation Youll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: 5+ years experience with Java/J2EE, UI technologies and databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle, DB2, Cassandra etc) 3+ application architecture & design experience involving heterogeneous enterprise scale systems & softwares 3+ years of experience working on softwares which are using rules engine, APIs, streaming & messaging platform 2+ years of knowledge in cloud technologies like Docker, Cloud infrastructure, API Gateway, Jenkins Pipeline etc. Preferred Qualifications: Experience of Big Data Platform and AWS/Azure cloud platform. Knowledge of Elastic Stack a plus.
