And you can maximize your work-life balance and flexibility through our . Job Description POSITION PURPOSE This position is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and extending our Atlassian suite. Within this role, you will directly affect process implementation, integrate Atlassian products with other internal applications, and drive efficiencies for our organization. An Atlassian Administrator needs to have a number of skills to be successful. Your technical skills must include a strong working knowledge of Atlassian programs and products, as well as knowledge of other programming languages. Common languages of use include numerous object-oriented languages, such as Python and Java, as well as front-end languages like Ruby on Rails. As an Atlassian administrator, you also need troubleshooting skills, such as knowing how to troubleshoot products like JIRA to debug code and respond to other QA or admin issues. SCOPE Number of Countries: Global Number of Locations: All MEASURES ServiceNow metrics around SLAs for user / project provisioning Optimal usage available license capacity Atlassian usage within budget MAJOR / KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Configuration, maintenance, and administration of Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jira Service Desk) Evaluate and manage the usage of Atlassian add-ons to meet team and business needs Work with development and design teams to identify procedural efficiencies, such as with Jira Workflows, custom fields, etc. Devise, test, and deploy integration’s between Atlassian products and other internal tool-chains Conduct training for employees and new hires on Jira and also briefing the team/s on new functionalities. Research and implement new approaches on Jira and Confluence usage Prompt issue resolution with Jira Projects and Confluence in coordination with other admins, partner teams and Atlassian premier support Utilizes design skills to define JIRA workflows and the related screen schemes for complex and high impact projects Create JIRA projects, queries and reports as required Ability to create complex JIRA workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, notification schemes CHALLENGES / PROBLEM SOLVING Work with a broad range of project teams to support their agile journeys with efficient usage of the Atlassian toolset. AUTHORITY / DECISION MAKING Alignment of operating solutions to business and IT strategic context KEY CONTACTS Internal: Project teams, IT Leadership, Internal Auditors, Risk and Security Consultants, IT Management and individual contributors and Technology delivery functions External: Software development companies, Contractors QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related field Desirable Qualifications: Atlassian Certifications EXPERIENCE 3-4 years experience administrating Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jira Service Desk) Experience extending Atlassian products via code development is preferable Experience directly integrating Atlassian products with other systems is preferable SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE High level of motivation, initiative, and responsibility Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently Strong knowledge and familiarity with JQL Very strong verbal and written communication skills Working knowledge of both Scrum and Kanban Agile methodologies Preferred Education Bachelors – Information Technology Preferred Level of Work Experience 3 – 5 years CHEP Canada invites applications from all qualified individuals.
