Position Overview The Analytics Engineer, a fully remote position, reports directly to the Vice President of Analytics and will be responsible for developing and maintaining external data products that provide valuable insights to our customers. As an Analytics Engineer, you will play a critical role in leading data product development efforts and staying up-to-date with the latest trends in analytics and data engineering. Essential job functions: Lead the development and maintenance of data products that provide valuable insights to our customers Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to define data product requirements and user stories Design and develop data pipelines, ETL processes, and data models to support data product development Develop and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and reports to provide actionable insights to customers Conduct advanced data analysis and provide insights on customer behavior, market trends, and other key performance metrics Design and develop automated quality assurance (QA) processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data products Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in analytics and data engineering Qualifications Minimum Job Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or relevant equivalent experience 5+ years of experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role Proven track record of developing and delivering data products that provide valuable insights to customers Expert data modeling skills and experience with SQL and data warehousing technologies utilizing tools such as Matillion or DBT Expert in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js Experience programming skills in languages such as Python or Java Experience in cloud data warehouse tools such as Snowflake Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Excellent problem solving and communication skills (written & verbal) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns and trends in complex data sets. Strong communication and collaboration skills Working Conditions and Physical Effort Ability to sit for long periods of time.
