Your Role at KIK The AI/ML Software Architect reports to the Chief Information Officer. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our organization’s AI journey by building the vision and strategy for AI integration. In addition to your proficiency in software architecture, you will leverage your expertise in artificial intelligence to guide the development and implementation of AI solutions that align with our strategic goals. Your deep technical acumen, strategic thinking, and ability to design AI-powered systems will be instrumental in driving our organization’s success in the AI landscape. This position is 100% remote with occasional travel. What You’ll Be Doing AI Strategy: Collaborate closely with senior leadership and stakeholders to understand the organization’s objectives and business challenges that AI can address. Develop a clear and comprehensive vision for AI adoption within the organization, outlining how AI can drive innovation, enhance processes, and create value. Define a strategic roadmap for AI implementation, identifying key milestones and measurable goals to track progress. Lead discussions and workshops to educate stakeholders on the potential of AI and gather insights for the AI vision. Architectural Design for AI and Software: Lead the design and architectural planning of AI solutions and full-stack software, ensuring they are aligned with the AI strategy and capable of achieving business objectives. Create robust and scalable AI architectures that accommodate the integration of machine learning models, data pipelines, and AI-driven applications. Consider factors such as scalability, security, and maintainability when designing AI-powered systems and software applications. Collaborate with data engineers to evaluate and select appropriate AI and machine learning algorithms for specific use cases. Full-Stack Software Development: Lead and actively contribute to cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders and product managers, to thoroughly comprehend requirements and translate them into technically robust solutions. Architect, design, develop, and execute end-to-end software applications that align seamlessly with our digital goals. Craft clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to industry best practices and coding standards. Take the helm in designing backend services and APIs using relevant programming languages and frameworks such as Java, C#, Python, or Node.js, and their associated frameworks like Spring Boot, .NET, Django, or Express.js. Envision and construct intuitive, responsive user interfaces employing contemporary frontend technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js. Work closely with database administrators to architect database structures and queries. Integrate software systems seamlessly with external APIs and third-party platforms, ensuring a frictionless flow of data and system interoperability. Diagnose and troubleshoot intricate software issues, unearth root causes, and spearhead effective solutions. Remain at the forefront of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, applying them judiciously to enhance software development procedures and deliver inventive solutions. What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Hands-on experience in Frontend development using React.js. Proven expertise in backend development with languages such as Java, C#, Python, or Node.js, and their associated frameworks like Spring Boot, .NET, Django, or Express.js. A solid grasp of frontend technologies and frameworks, encompassing React.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Proficiency in database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and a track record of working with ORMs and optimizing database queries. Adept understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and coding standards. Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and familiarity with agile software development methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly grasp intricate concepts and resolve technical challenges. Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, enabling effective teamwork within cross-functional groups. Familiarity with digital technologies such as mobile app development, cloud computing, data analytics, or machine learning. A relentless pursuit of continuous learning, coupled with a fervor for staying current with the latest technologies and industry trends. Proven experience in constructing APIs for both internal and external products. Working knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD principles and practices. Must be willing to travel up to 25%. This position has a base salary range of $170,000 – 180,000 plus an annual incentive bonus or commission target. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
